TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of UnderHooked, the iOS and Android Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training app published by UnderHooked (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the app.

If you're using UnderHooked through a gym subscription (UnderHooked OS), additional terms between your gym and UnderHooked may apply, but they don't override these Terms for your personal use.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate sign-up information
• Keep your password secure
• Be responsible for activity on your account
• Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Users under 18 must have parental or guardian consent.

UnderHooked offers a free tier and a paid Premium tier. Premium is available as:

• Monthly subscription — billed every month
• Annual subscription — billed once per year

Pricing is shown in the app at the time of purchase. All purchases are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not handle your payment information directly.

Auto-renewal:subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date, per Apple and Google's standard terms.

Free Premium for gym members: if your gym subscribes to UnderHooked OS, you receive Premium features at no personal cost while you remain a member of that gym. If your gym ends its OS subscription or removes you, your Premium access reverts to the free tier (your data is retained).

Cancel any time through your device settings:

• iOS — Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
• Android — Play Store → Subscriptions

You retain access through the end of your current billing period. Cancelling does not delete your account or training data.

Refunds: all refunds are processed by Apple or Google, not by UnderHooked. Their refund policies apply. We cannot process refunds directly. Contact reportaproblem.apple.com for iOS or Google Play support for Android.

The training data you log in UnderHooked — sessions, rolls, notes, photos, competition entries, custom techniques — is yours. You own it.

By using the app, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content as needed to operate the service for you (e.g., syncing across your devices, generating your trading card, displaying your gym leaderboard rank). This license ends when you delete the content or your account.

Content you choose to share publicly (e.g., via the share sheet, gym leaderboard) is governed by your share choices. We do not publish your content elsewhere.

You agree NOT to:

• Impersonate another person or gym
• Submit false or misleading information about your training, belt rank, or competition results
• Abuse the gym leaderboard or community features (spam, harassment)
• Attempt to access another user's account or data
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source from the app beyond what is permitted by law
• Use automated tools to scrape or interact with the app at scale
• Use the app to facilitate unlawful activity

Violations may result in suspension or termination of your account without refund.

UnderHooked allows you to associate your account with a home gym. If your gym uses UnderHooked OS, your coach may be able to see:

• Your name, belt rank, and tap-in recency
• Aggregated training activity (session count, mat hours)
• Your competition history
• Your injury entries — only if you opted in via Profile → Privacy & Data → Injury Sharing

You can leave a gym at any time from Profile → Gym Finder. Leaving a gym does not delete your data; it simply removes the association.

UnderHooked, the trading card design system, the belt-adaptive theming, the technique library structure, and all UI/UX elements are the intellectual property of UnderHooked. You may use the app as intended, but you may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on our IP without written permission.

The names “UnderHooked” and “UnderHooked OS”, our logos, and our marks are our trademarks.

You can terminate your account at any time via Profile → Privacy & Data → Delete Account.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if continued service becomes commercially unreasonable. We'll give you reasonable notice unless the violation is severe (e.g., fraud, harassment) or notice is impossible.

UnderHooked is provided “as is” and “as available”. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu involves physical risk; nothing in the app is medical, training, or coaching advice. Always train with qualified instructors and listen to your body. The injury vault is a private journal — it is NOT a medical record and should not be used as one.

We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific feature will remain available. Subscription features may evolve over time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UnderHooked is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the app.

Our total liability for any claim related to the app is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the app will be resolved in the courts of California, except where prohibited by your local consumer protection law.

If any provision of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice with a 30-day notice period before they take effect. Continued use of the app after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
